Act 1, Scene 1 Summary
Flavius and Marullus, two tribunes, stop some commoners in the street. They want to know why the people are not at work today. A cobbler tells them that the people have made today a holiday for themselves and are going see Caesar, who is returning to Rome victorious over Pompey. Marullus and Flavius condemn the people, who not long ago praised Pompey and clamoured to get a glimpse of him whenever they could. Marullus calls the people disloyal and tells them to go home and beg for forgiveness from the gods for their ingratitude. The commoners leave and Flavius suggests they make their way to the Capitol (one of the seven hills of Rome and the seat of the government) separately and break up.

Brutus the main character

Brutus is the main character of the story. The reason so is that he is always in every play, he killes his bestfriend. He want ti be king instead of Antony because he thinks that he wouldnt be a good king to the people. He betrades his bestfriend because he thinks that Caesar wouldnt have been a good king. He thinks that he would have to much power for one man, and would over rule everyone. But Caesar was just trying to help and i also thought he would do good. Brutus,s wife died she tried to kill herself she sallowed hot coal from the fire and died. Brutus, i dont think he really cared for anything but himself. After, he killed his bestfriend he felt bad and knew he betraded his friend over being crowned. He now is alone and haunted my Caesar now at night when he is sitting at the table.

Caesar being stabbed

In this scene Julius Caesar is being stabbed by everybody but Trebonius. They killed him because everyone thought he would be a bad leader to the people. And have too much power for one man and over rule over everybody. When brutus killed Julius he finally understood that, that was his bestfriend that he betrated over his friend having everyone vote for him. After the killing was over the people that voted for was mad and shocked. Then Brutus calmed them down and told them lies to get the people not to like Julius anymore. Everyone bacame happy when they heard the lies then started cheering for brutus.
